Momma Ashanti stated, “Not on my watch,” after a host tried to congratulate her for her daughter’s rumored pregnancy.
Douglas was sitting on a panel when the host said, “And congratulations, Ashanti’s having a baby. So congratulations, grandma.”
She answered, “There’s been no news. It hasn’t come out yet. So, until I hear it from Ashanti and Nelly…”
“Oh, I thought it was official,” the host interjected. “Oh my bad.”
Douglas corrected her, “Oh it is public. Don’t get it twisted.”
Oh okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.” The host answered.
“But it hasn’t been officially announced. Until then,” Ashanti’s mother said as she playfully flipped her hair.
Ashanti and rapper Nelly have yet to confirm or refused speculation of their pregnancy.
Under our IG report, @imkandiss quipped, “I know she called her mother and said ‘maaaa.’”
Others noted that Douglass pretty much made the announcement herself.
