Akbar V has filed for divorce from her husband, Da Real Bean.
The rapper, who recently made headlines for endorsing Donald Trump, shared a screenshot of her divorce petition, filed in Cobb County, Georgia.
Akbar V explained that she broke her promise to keep the public out of her business because she knew people saw her at the courthouse, and she didn’t want anyone to share her story before she could.

Today, I filed for divorce, and the reason I’m addressing this is because so many people saw me in the courtroom, and I didn’t want anyone to tell my story before I could.
I think this was the best decision I could make. Me and Bean are cool with it—he told me it was okay to post this. I want him to be free and find someone who fits him.
I’ve been through a lot these last couple of months, and today I chose me over anybody else. I pray whoever he dates will give him a good, long, and happy life 🫶🏾.
I’m at peace with my decision. Some things in life are uncomfortable, but God will get you through it. I know I told y’all I wasn’t putting y’all in my business, but this is something me and him agreed on ⭐️.
I have nothing left to give; anything that’s left in me is for my kids and career😉🐐.

You may recall that this isn’t the first time Akbar V has expressed her desire for a divorce.
In December 2023, she and Bean clashed on social media when Akbar’s daughter suffered a medical emergency.
Akbar V took to social media to solicit prayers, saying her daughter was “fighting for her life.”
Da Real Bean responded on social media, writing:
Dora is not fighting for her life. She can walk on her own, talk on her own. She’s able to hear and see.
To those that have her in your prayers, please continue to do so. Thanks! It’s appreciated 🙏🏾.
Akbar responded on Instagram, writing, “I married a clout chaser… now that’s my karma… I want a divorce.”
