Wendy Williams‘ New York City penthouse has reportedly been sold by her guardian as an update is shared about her health.
As per to the New York Post, Wendy Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, closed on the sale of the TV host’s lavish penthouse on Friday, May 10. The media reports that Williams’ “incapacitated” status prompted the sale.
This reportedly required Morrissey to lead the “decision-making process regarding the sale of her residence.”
Furthermore, the space was reportedly sold for $3.75 million. But, this was reportedly $822,000 less than its earlier purchase price.
The New York Post adds that before the penthouse’s sale, Williams allegedly “divested herself of all personal belongings housed within the property.” This reportedly added her “iconic purple chair,” which she used while hosting ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ between 2008 and 2022, per IMDb.
As per to an outlet, Williams’ lavish penthouse was over 2,400 square feet and featured a “spacious” living room, dining area, and open-concept kitchen.
Additionally, an outlet reports that the space featured 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. Furthermore, the space even had access to a terrace overlooking the Hudson River.
Furthermore, the outlet adds that the building that housed Williams’ space featured a “fitness center, a 60-foot lap pool, a sauna,” and other amenities.
As per to the New York Post, the outlet has contacted Williams’ representatives for comments on the matter. The outlet reports that Williams is currently receiving treatment for “severe alcohol use” at a rehab facility in Malibu, California. Meanwhile, outlet reports that the location of Williams’ treatment has not been publicly revealed.
Although fans have yet to hear from Williams herself on the recently reported matters in her life, her former-spouse, Kevin Hunter, has remained vocal. As The Shade Room previously reported, in April, Hunter went viral after sharing his reaction to the ‘Where Is Wendy Williams?’ documentary.
