Sahar Tabar, whose original name is Fatemeh Khishvand, is a young woman from Iran.
An Iranian woman, who was jailed after she asserted to have had 50 surgeries to appear like Angelina Jolie has been released and opened that the look was a hoax done via makeup and photo-shopped.
Iran’s Sahar Tabar gained notoriety in 2019 later she goes through plastic surgery to appear exactly like Angeline Jolie but the process left her appearing like a very emaciated and creepy version of the famouss actor.
After that year, Sahar was arrested and jailed for 10 years under Iran’s strict blasphemy laws. The 21-year-old has now been released and she revealed showed her real face in a new interview.
She was arrested in October 2019 on the accusations of corruption and blasphemy and sentenced to 10-years in jail. A report by activist Masih Alinejad as saying that she was finally released after just 14 months in prison though.
The activist shared that Sahar’s appearance was not due to any botched plastic surgery but it was all a joke. “Sahar Tabar is only 19.
Her joke headed her to jail. Her mom cries every day to get her innocent daughter freed. Dear Angelina Jolie, we need your voice here,” they had written last year. Sahar, whose original name is Fatemah Khishvand, was released in the middle of widespread protests for women’s rights in the country.
In a new TV interview, she showed her real face and stated the look she had presented prior was just make-up and Photoshop. She stated she wanted to grow her Instagram following. “Cyberspace was an easy path,” she said.
“It was much easier than becoming an actor.” The 21-year-old told she had underwent some cosmetic surgeries like getting a nose job and lip fillers but the popular viral photo of her was heavily Photoshopped. She had prior asserted that the look was a outcome of ’50 cosmetic surgeries’.
Interestingly, Sahar had admitted to the hoax back in 2017 while speaking with Russian media Sputnik, where she said she frequent altered images to amuse herself.
