Offset is revealing what motivated him to shoot his shot with Cardi B.
During a Wednesday look on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the ‘Ric Flair Drip’ rapper revealed about what drew him to Cardi — and how he suddenly knew she was the one.
“I had seen her online, and I just loved the way… how raw she was and how confident she was,’ Offset, 31, stated to the host Alex Cooper.
He included, ‘She didn’t give a f— what nobody wondered And it’s just like damn, that’s fire. Funny, great personality, from what I could see, you know I’m saying? Like that’s a funny girl, she’s a cool girl, and then I shot my shot and I swished it.”
Once he got to know Cardi, he felt how close to her parents and sister she was and determined she was ‘the one.’
‘First off, she’s a family person. I pay attention to… f— the music and all that s—. That s— never mattered — that’s not what I look at,’ he described.
‘I look at your house values because I’m from the South, so I’m raised by my mom and grandmother. I come from strong women and I see how dedicated and determined she was to get to a damn place for her family.’
The ‘Clout’ rapper also said that Cardi was determined to provide for her family.
‘She comes from the average, from stripping, and she was still supporting the family with that little money,’ he told ‘It’s [also] her grind and her target. You can’t tell her nothing and it’s the exact way with me.
There’s nothing you can tell me I can’t do at all. I don’t know & cared what you think. It’s that determination.’
Elsewhere in the interview, the rapper revealed about how he’s building trust in his connection again. (The duo, who started dating in February 2017 and were married that September, have faced cheating assertions in the past.)
