Ashanti seemingly confirmed her rekindled romance with Nelly during a not so far concert, where she cracked joke that her fellow R&B artist wants to put his “body on her.”
Ashanti and Nelly were one of the IT duos of the 2000s. They first encounter in 2003 during a press conference for the Grammys and shortly after they began dating. They were together for 11 years before calling it quits in 2014.
Rumors of the two rekindling their romance have been swirling for months but they were not so far seen holding hands at the Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia fight in Las Vegas, NV a few weeks ago.
The 42-year-old vocalist was onstage during “An Evening Of R&B” concert at Mable House Barnes Amphitheater on May 20, 2023 in Mableton, Georgia, and she looked great
As per to a fan, Ashanti also confirmed the Nelly romance during the concert, before she sung their 2008 song “Body on Me.” The fan, who goes by Allyson (@lilacmagnolia) on Twitter, wrote, “She sang her part of “body on me” and said Nelly was still tryna put his body on her,” including in a comment that they don’t have video of the moment because “Nobody expected her to say it so I wasn’t recording at the time. We just stood there with our mouths open.”
