The media mogul will took as a host of primetime special delving into the radical cause of prescription weight-loss medications on March 7.
After mentioning that she uses weight-loss medical treatment as a “maintenance tool,” Oprah Winfrey is lighting up to the conversation to TV.
On Thursday, ABC shared that the media mogul will host a primetime special event featuring a conversations regarding the radical impact of prescription weight-loss medications. Premiering on March 18, An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution targets to “delve into the prevailing questions and troubles surrounding the impact [of weight-loss medications] on our health care, economy, lifestyle and culture.”
As per to a press release, Winfrey will speak in front of a live studio audience as she gathers the country’s leading medical experts and everyday people “who are in the battle of one of the huge healthcare concern the world has ever known.”
“In Prior times, new drugs could be a game changer to stem the tide of people living with obesity, an epidemic that has grown exponentially since the 1970s, costing $173 billion per year in medical costs in the United States alone,” the release says.
